PAVILION

At the first day of spring it seems like all of Oslo just had to go outside. And as the streets were filled with way to many people, I felt like going somewhere else. Ekebergparken, just ten minutes away from the city center, is a park filled with beautiful sculptures, art, an amazing restaurant and it has a kick-ass view of the city. My favorite piece was the pavilion made by Dan Graham. A sanctuary from the cold wind we didn´t expect when we were heading out the door.

Good thing i wore my new big-ass shearling leather jacket.

All artists are alike.
They dream of doing something that´s more social, more collaborative, more real than art.

THE GREAT WAVE

When I went to design school it was one image that followed me as I went from assignment to assignment. Really, it kept on appearing on many of my inspiration boards. The great wave. As the object at this picture has been painted many times over. It´s most famously done by the japanese artist Hokusai in 1832. Painting “The Great Wave of Kanagawa”, Hokusai paid so much attention to details and truly created something iconic. Google it at take a closer look at how those waves and the way they curl. I was told that the design team at GANT Rugger had one heck of a job interpretating and creating something as beautiful as the embroidery on this sweater. THUMBS UP! This sweater is my newfound icon.
