PREPPING

Right now we´ve got a small greenery on out dining table just waiting to be moved out on our brand new terrace. I´ve always dreamed of picking fresh greens for my salads and especially for my favorite breakfasts on Saturdays. If you ask me I really like these small plants, so having them right next to us every evening really don´t bother me. Maybe we´d have to get some more to replace them when they sadly have to move 15 feet away. We´ve also planted lots of seeds so please please please let ut have herbs at some point!

Vi har en liten hage på spisebordet som bare venter på å bli flyttet ut på vår splitter mye veranda. Jeg har alltid drømt om å plukke grønnsaker rett fra “hagen” til salatene mine og spesielt til favorittfrokostene mine på lørdager. Hadde det vært opp til meg kunne vi beholdt disse små grønnsaksplantene ved siden av oss mens vi inntar måltidene våre, men kanskje vi heller må skaffe oss noen flere når de må flytte hele 5 meter unna. Vi har også plantet masse frøså krysser fingrene for at vi får masse urter på et tidspunkt!

THE NECK SCARF

My boyfriend got me this amazing Hermes neck scarf for my birthday last week. I love the print with the Russian (correct me if I´m wrong!) dancers seen from above. And the mix of spring colors is goint to make even the dullest of outfits pop. Can´t wait to combine it with a basic white tee. You´ll see a lot more of this in the time to come..

Kjæresten min ga meg dette fine Hermes tørklet til bursdagen min som var i forrige uke. Jeg elsker printet av de Russiske (er det Russiske de er?) danserne sett ovenifra. Kombinasjonen av ulike vårfarger vil kunne ligge til det lille ekstra med selv de kjedligste antrekkene. Jeg gleder meg til å kombinere det med en basic hvit t-skjorte. Dette er ikke det siste du ser til dette tørklet..

SUNNIES

Spring is in the air and on paper I´ve turned 29 years of age. It continues to amaze me how I year after year feel so great about getting older. Obviously, it makes me wonder when the tables will turn and I begin to feel the other way around, but one of my best qualities is beeing positive in most situations. At least that´s what I think. No dreams have been destroyed in my 29th year and all is good. Happy birthday to me (ehm, two days ago..) and keep ut the good hope. And as the title of the post implies, it´s finally sunny enought to bring out my sunnies, and that is always a sign we´re going in the right direction.

Våren har kommet og på papiret har jeg fylt et år eldre. Det fortsetter å overraske meg hvordan jeg år etter år fortsatt ser det som noe positivt å bli eldre. Selvfølgelig får dette meg til å tenkte på når jeg kommer til å forakte at tallet stiger, men en av mine beste kvaliteter tror jeg må være at jeg klarer å se det positive i de fleste situasjoner. I det minste er dette hvordan jeg ser meg selv. Ingen drømmer har blitt knust i mitt 29 år og alt er etter min mening helt fantastisk. Gratulerer med dagen til meg (for to dager siden!). Ja, også var det en gladnyhet det at vi endelig kan bruke solbriller igjen da. Alltid et sikkert tegn på at vi er på rett vei.

HOME AGAIN

As an amazing birthday gift for myself (every excuse to travel, right?) I´ve spent some time in Thailand. Returning to our favorite place for the second time was followed by no regrets. Even though we had to make some comments on how we felt a bit boring (like we vere retired) wanting to return to the same place we visited two years ago, the Santhiya Resort & Spa Koh Phangan is truly worth the visit. Again.

Som en fantastisk bursdagsgave til meg selv (enhver dårlig unnskyldning for å reise, ikke sant?) har jeg tilbragt litt tid i Thailand. Å returnere til samme sted som vi var for to år siden var heller ikke noe vi angret på, selvom følelsen av å være pensjonist (eks.: hyppige besøk til Gran Canaria!) selvfølgelig slo oss fra tid til annen. Santhiya Resort & Spa Koh Phangan var virkelig verdt å besøke. Igjen.

COFFEE RUN

Kicking off Saturays with a good cup of coffee on the run usually makes my day just a tad bit better. It´s not important like life depends on it (duh!), just one of the small pleasures in life. Today I started my day off with a morning coffee run and a quick trip to the grocery store, tonight it´s all about the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest. So bring out your scoreboards and enjoy your weekend.

It´s been one heck of a winter. So far it´s been nothing but all white everything. And I´m freezing my ass off, god damn it. This weekend it got a bit better though, so I finally got the chance to wear something else than a down jacket. One blogpost covered. Yey! Here I´m off to celebrate my friends birthday. (I can´t resist a celebration..)

THINK

The year is coming to an end and automatically you start reminiscing about it. It´s time to relive some moments in your head. The things that have mattered. The moments of love, joy, sadness and sorrow. Your friends, brothers, sisters and loved ones. Your achievements and losses. Take time to take all the bad as well as the good from the past year. Grow even stronger and focus on the time you got back up on the horse rather than the time you fell off it. No doubt I´m looking forward to the new year. Think off all the things we can do, and when the time comes: I wish you the happiest of new years.

PHILIPS SERIES 7000

I´ve been asked to test out a couple of shavers before, but since I haven´t exactly got the best full beard onboard and my skin is really sensitive, I´ve decided to let it pass. Until now that is. Philips has launched their new Shaver, Philips Series 7000, especially for men with sensitive skin. The circle design minimizes the friction to the skin and there is a whole lot of other technical ding-dangs to the design that make this machine fit for a guy like me. After reading the press release I thought, “why not.” I´ve used the shaver on a regular basis for a couple of weeks now and I must say it really does what it says in the description. You know, honestly I´m not that good at the whole beard thing, but I do know one thing: Sensitive and easily irritated skin. The shave is really close and quick (much appreciated, that last note.) and you can chose either to take a quick dry-shave or a gentler shave in the shower or with gel/foam. Also the shaver comes with a precision trimmer for fast trimming of mustache and sideburns together with a deep cleansing face brush. I´m not going to go on and on about the product, but I must say that I would never recommend a product that I didn´t really like. (I would return it to the sender together with a comment saying, “no comment”.)
